The Yokohama Civic Art Gallery, which was opened in 1964 and was said to be the "first museum in Yokohama" at that time. Opened in 1964 by the aspirations of local art lovers, the facility has been widely introducing art to the citizens of Yokohama for nearly half a century. On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the opening, the facility was relocated and reopened in the fall of 2014.
