YOKOHAMA MINATO MIRAI21

Oda original study center

In the area around Saikaiko, which was once close to Odawara Castle and where samurai residences were once gathered, many literaries such as Junichiro Tanizaki and Tatsuji Miyoshi set up residences from the Meiji to the Showa period and conducted writing activities. At the literary museum in the corner of Nishikaikokoji, we display materials of literary scholars who are deeply related to Tanizaki and Odawara, as well as literary materials from Odawara such as Kitamura Tokiya and Ozaki Kazuo. The site also includes the Hakuaki Children's Museum, which displays materials related to Kitahara Hakushu, and an Ozaki Kazuo study, which has been partially relocated. The literary museum and the Hakuaki Doenkan use the former residence of the former Miyauchi Minister Tanaka Mitsuyoshi, and the Southern European style literary museum and the pure Japanese style Hakushu Doenkan together with the garden that shows the seasonal atmosphere, the building itself It is attractive.
