YOKOHAMA MINATO MIRAI21

Yoh Shomei Art Museum

You can see Shomei Yoh's watercolor paintings, oil paintings, drawings, handwritten words, and picture books dealing with various themes. Spacious green meadows, clear blue skies, and pictures of houses, trees, people, and animals. The style of painting, which Takashi Yanase said to "draw the air," has gained the support of many people, and still delivers the wind to the hearts of the viewers and makes them feel kind. About 80 of these original works are always on display at the museum, and you can see the works of each season in the permanent exhibition room on the 1st floor 6 times a year and in each room on the 2nd floor. In the garden, there are 6 large "American Kaede" and a garden where white hydrangea and white roses bloom every season, inviting visitors to the world of picture books. We hope that you will heal your tired mind and spend a relaxing time through the beautiful original drawings and words.
