Opened in 1976. Activities under the theme of "Nature and culture of the Sagami River basin". We are not limited to the administrative section of Hiratsuka City, and we have a broad view of the area including the surrounding area to meet a wide range of learning needs. It is a regional general museum with the fields of history, folklore, archeology, astronomy, biology, geology, and art. Based on the philosophy of civic collaboration, various working groups have been formed and active learning activities are also underway.
