The former Yoshida Shigeru's residence is the residence where Shigeru Yoshida (1878-1967), who served as Prime Minister after the war, lived. Originally, in 1884, Shigeru Yoshida's adoptive father, Kenzo Yoshida, purchased the land and built a villa. After the death of his adoptive father, Shigeru Yoshida took over the mansion. From 1945, he spent his last years in Oiso's mansion as his main residence. This facility is a restoration of the mansion where Shigeru Yoshida lived. The drawing room building built around 1947 and the new building designed by Isoya Yoshida, who is famous for modern Sukiya architecture in the 30's of the Showa period, are being rebuilt. <Access> Get off at "Oiso Station" on the JR Tokaido Line and walk for about 30 minutes (about 2 kilometers).
