Institut Francais Yokohama is an official cultural and educational institution under the direct control of the French Embassy in Japan. It was established as Yokohama Japan-France Academy in May 1990 with the cooperation of Yokohama City, and was reborn as Institut Francais Yokohama in September 2012. In addition to French courses, the hotel also holds seminars on movies, wine, and cheese, and Yokohama France Month.
