"Minato Mirai Station" is located in the center of Minatomirai 21 Central District, which is lined with cultural and commercial facilities such as the Museum of Yokohama, Landmark Tower, Pacifico Yokohama with the International Convention Hall and Exhibition Hall, and Queens Square. In particular, Queen's Square and the station are spatially integrated by a large station core atrium, and you can feel the natural light from the platform located about 23 meters underground. In this way, we regarded the station as an "urban gallery" that connects the atmosphere and information of the new city to the underground space and strengthens the city's network. In addition, considering the regional characteristics, the image of commercial facilities and museums is incorporated into the station design while using the motif of "ship". Furthermore, the entire station is a futuristic space that is regarded as a "transportation device". The vault space (tube space) of the concourse is a place (gallery) where people can easily interact with art, events, local information, etc. through various media such as images.
