YOKOHAMA MINATO MIRAI21

Minatomirai rice club

Started in October 2015 as a project to connect "food" and "people" in Minatomirai, based on the shared space "BUKATSUDO" in the city in Minato Mirai, Yokohama. With the increasing number of nuclear families, the increase in arc foods, and the aging of the population, the opportunities for families to eat around large tables are gradually disappearing. In addition, while the relationships between residents are becoming weaker even though they are in the same area, this project aims to "create opportunities for people to gather in the same place on a regular basis and have a meal together." It is said. In addition, it is a place where not only residents but also employees and residents who rarely interact with each other can gather and exchange information such as housework and child-rearing through "food". Also, efforts are being made through the appointment of producers in the Minatomirai area and restaurant chefs. A "food" community where people of all ages and genders can interact with each other begins in Minatomirai. * This project is supported by the Minatomirai 21 Area Management Activity Grant Program from 2015 to 2017.
