Hayamakan was completed in March 2003 as the third building of the Kanagawa Prefectural Museum of Modern Art, and opened in October. In addition to exhibition rooms with varying ceiling heights and lighting environments, there are various facilities such as an art library that aims to collect materials and disseminate information, an auditorium with audiovisual equipment, and a storage that collects the best of preservation technology. It is a well-equipped museum. From the entrance hall to the courtyard, restaurant, museum shop, garden, and the art library on the first basement floor, you can use the museum without admission fees so that you can get familiar with the museum in your life.
